| NovoSeven® RT (coagulation Factor VIIa, recombinant) is indicated for: Treatment of bleeding episodes and perioperative management in adults and children with hemophilia A or B with inhibitors, congenital Factor VII (FVII) deficiency, Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia with refractoriness to platelet transfusions, with or without antibodies to platelets, and treatment of bleeding episodes and perioperative management in adults with acquired hemophilia |

 |
| #1 prescribed bypassing agent in hospitals3,c |
| AND the only rFVIIa approved for surgery in children and adults.1,d |
aAdminister as a slow bolus injection over 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the dose administered.1
bCompassionate use, also known as expanded access, began enrolling in 1988; FDA approval for hemophilia A or B with inhibitors received in 1999.
cBased on Acumetis data collected Q4 2024 through Q4 2025.3
dPerioperative management in acquired hemophilia is indicated for adults only.

Why NovoSeven® RT
|
| CFVIId=congenital factor VII deficiency; CHAwI=congenital hemophilia A with inhibitors; CHBwI=congenital hemophilia B with inhibitors; GT=Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia; rFVIIa=recombinant factor VIIa. |

| Efficacy |
| Proven efficacy for bleed resolution and surgery across 5 indications—more than any other bypassing agent.1,4-6 |
|
 |
| Predictable utilization |
| NovoSeven® RT has one dosing regimen for patients with CHwI regardless of bleed severity. That consistent dosing may lead to predictable utilization.1 |

| Faster to infuse compared with FEIBA® and Obizur®.1,5,6,e |
|
 |
| Safety profile |
| Low rate of thrombotic adverse events based on clinical trials and registry data.1 |
| • |
Serious arterial and venous thrombotic events have been reported in clinical trials and postmarketing surveillance. Thrombotic adverse reactions in pivotal clinical trials occurred in 0.2% of bleeding episodes in CHwI, 4% in AH, 0.8% in CFVIId, and <0.2% in GT with refractoriness to platelets.1 |
|
| eAdminister NovoSeven® RT as a slow bolus injection over 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the dose administered.1 FEIBA® should be injected or infused intravenously at a rate that does not exceed 10 units per kg of body weight per minute. For a dose of 75 U/kg, this equates to an infusion time of at least 7.5 minutes per kg of body weight.5 Administer Obizur® intravenously at a rate of 1 to 2 mL per minute. For a 75-kg patient receiving a dose of 200 U/kg, this corresponds to an infusion time of 15 to 30 minutes.6 |

| Important Safety Information |
| WARNING: THROMBOSIS |
| • |
Serious arterial and venous thrombotic events following administration
of NovoSeven® RT have been reported
|
|
| • |
Discuss the risks and explain the signs and symptoms of thrombotic and
thromboembolic events to patients who will receive
NovoSeven® RT
|
|
| • |
Monitor patients for signs or symptoms of activation of the coagulation
system and for thrombosis
|
|
|
|
|
| Warnings and Precautions |
| • |
Serious arterial and venous thrombotic events have been reported in clinical trials
and postmarketing surveillance
|
|
| • |
Patients with congenital hemophilia receiving concomitant treatment with aPCCs
(activated prothrombin complex concentrates), older patients particularly with
acquired hemophilia and receiving other hemostatic agents, and patients with a
history of cardiac and vascular disease may have an increased risk of developing
thrombotic events

| NovoSeven® RT for acute and emergent bleeding in the ER |

For situations where patients have inhibitors, MASAC recommends that care should be urgently discussed with the patient’s hematologist. If in a life- or limb-threatening scenario, the safest immediate action is to prescribe rFVIIa at a dose of 90 mcg/kg or FEIBA® at 75-100 units/kg.7 |
| • |
For CHAwI patients on emicizumab, MASAC recommends rFVIIa first; avoid FEIBA® (pd-aPCC) if possible.8 |
| • |
If FEIBA® is used in CHAwI patients on emicizumab, minimize duration; thrombosis and TMA may be associated with >24 hours usage above 100 units/kg/day.8 |

| Indications and Usage |
|
NovoSeven® RT (coagulation Factor VIIa, recombinant) is a coagulation factor
indicated for:
|
| • |
Treatment of bleeding episodes and perioperative management in adults and children
with hemophilia A or B with inhibitors, congenital Factor VII (FVII)
deficiency, and Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia with refractoriness to platelet
transfusions, with or without antibodies to platelets
|
|
| • |
Treatment of bleeding episodes and perioperative management in adults with acquired
hemophilia
|
|
| Important Safety Information (cont’d) |
| Warnings and Precautions |
| • |
Hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, can occur with
NovoSeven® RT. Patients with a known hypersensitivity to mouse,
hamster, or bovine proteins may be at a higher risk of hypersensitivity reactions.
Discontinue infusion and administer appropriate treatment when hypersensitivity
reactions occur
|
|
| • |
Factor VII deficient patients should be monitored for prothrombin time (PT) and
factor VII coagulant activity (FVII:C). If FVII:C fails to reach the expected level,
or PT is not corrected, or bleeding is not controlled after treatment with the
recommended doses, antibody formation may be suspected and analysis for antibodies
should be performed
|
|
| • |
Laboratory coagulation parameters (PT/INR, aPTT, FVII:C) have shown no direct
correlation to achieving hemostasis
|
|
| Adverse Reactions |
| • |
The most common and serious adverse reactions in clinical trials are thrombotic
events. Thrombotic adverse reactions following the administration of
NovoSeven® RT in clinical trials occurred in 4% of patients with
acquired hemophilia and 0.2% of bleeding episodes in patients with congenital
hemophilia
|
|
| Drug Interactions |
| • |
Thrombosis may occur if NovoSeven® RT is administered
concomitantly with Coagulation Factor XIII
